You Bring Starsky, We’ve got Hutch
Sometimes it’s just that little bit too cold outside to leave your pet rabbit outside all by himself, and you need to find him somewhere safe and warm indoors. As tempting as it might be to let him have that cupboard under the sink to himself, you should really consider somewhere a little more practical. And here’s the solution – try a Zoo Zone Indoor Rabbit Hutch and you will realise that it’s just what you are needing.
Large enough to house a rabbit or guinea pig – or maybe a couple of them if they’re slimline ones – it’s not too huge that it takes over the place. With a clear roof you can keep an eye on the occupant and they won’t fill the house up with bedding either. Available in a choice of colours and sizes, they are very useful for a sensitive animal in need of some TLC or maybe you don’t live on the ground floor and you want to keep your pet indoors.
Can’t say they will appreciate a chunky-knit cardigan tho….
Fancy a Kebab?
Sometimes we are all a bit guilty of feeding our pets with food from our own plates, especially when you have something particularly tasty and they turn on the cutesy-pie big eyes. Everyone’s a sucker for puppy-dog eyes.
Unfortunately for Rover, chips and pizza are not part of a balanced diet full of healthy and nutritious ingredients designed to promote their health and well being. What you should do is reseist the temptation to throw a few sneaky roast spuds under the table and consider a far healthier alternative. Burns Chicken & Brown Rice is specifically made with no wheat, beef or dairy products and is an ideal food for dogs prone to food intolerance. It is recommended that any food brand change should be gradual rather than overnight, to allow your dog to adjust safely.
So what you will end up with is a diet that is likely to keep your dog healthy and happy and not full of stodge. Go out and have a curry by all means, but save the doggy bag for yourself. And kebabs are not that nice the next day anyway……
This is what we do
As a relatively new business, we don’t expect everyone to know what Heart Pet Supplies is all about. But there is a big clue in the name – we supply all sorts of products for all sorts of animals!
It’s a bit a bit corny, but it’s true that we really do love what we do (hence the “heart” bit) – and we know that pets are a wonderful source of fun and entertainment, sometimes a loving companion and in some cases better than man’s best friend. Trouble is, they do need to be fed and watered and that’s where can help.
Nobody can deny that all pets have running costs, and what we are aiming to do is lend a helping hand with the bills. We are able to supply a vast range of foods, accessories and general stuff that everyone needs – from cats, dogs, fish, rabbits, gerbils, hamsters, chickens and pretty much you name it….including rats. And ferrets.
We are able to keep our prices competitive, with free delivery to mainland UK addresses so you get a great deal every time. That doesn’t mean that you will see us advertised on national TV (that puts the prices up), there isn’t a chain of out-of-town warehouse shops around the country (that puts the prices up), and we don’t have a massive sales force either. Strangely, that would put the prices up too.
Yes, we are small – but that does give us the ability to give a good, honest service and we can still give everyone what they want – value for money.
That does mean that you can feed Fido or Tiddles without breaking the bank – but you won’t see us on the TV. Shame, I’ve just had my hair cut….
The name’s Hamster. Harry Hamster.
There are lots of Harrys around these days – Harry Potter, Harry Hill, Prince Harry and loads more. That’s probably why people will call their little furry friend something familiar starting with a “H”. I suppose that’s why the good people at Supreme Pet Foods have decided to call their food Harry too. Supreme Harry Hamster Original is formulated to give a balanced diet including wheat, alfalfa, maize and flaked maize, soya, flaked peas, sunflower seeds, peanuts, soya oil, pumpkin seeds and locust beans. That means it keeps H well fed no matter what age he or she is.
Don’t be put off by the name, it will work just as well for a Hamster named Harriet, Henry, Horace and Horatio. Or even Richard.
Scooby Doo Fell in the Fishtank
Well maybe he didn’t, because we all know that Scooby Doo is far too big to fall in the fishtank. Having said that, you would need a very large tank of epic proportions to fit Shaggy, Scoob and the rest of the gang in. Not to mention that funky van. However, if you are talking slightly smaller scale, you could get a Scooby Doo Mystery Machine Aquarium Ornament and it would pop straight in. All you need then is a very nervous talking dog, a scruffy and equally nervous sidekick and Fred, Velma and Daphne and the team is set. Bring on the Mummies and shifty-looking fairground owners.
If your fishtank doesn’t have a spooky mystery that needs solving and you fancy something a little more traditional like a sunken treasure chest, then have a look round our online shop and there’s bound to be something for you. And I would have got away with it if it wasn’t for those meddling kids…….
Top Quality Dog Food
Sometimes, choosing the right dog food can be a bit tricky – do you go for one with a brightly coloured wrapper and big adverts on the telly, or do you go for a top quality and proven dog food which is specifically designed to complement the animal’s needs? Royal Canin Medium Adult is one of the latter – and if you are the proud owner of a dog who should reach 11 -25kg when fully grown then this is the right one to go for.
The best thing about the Royal Canin range of foods is that they have one for all shapes and sizes, so you can go from small breed puppies to giant breed mature dogs. Or maybe your best friend needs a little help with sensitive skin, or has put on a few pounds lately? Got those situations covered too.
There are far too many varieties to list just now, but it’s safe to say that you could find what you are looking for in our online store. But if you want to go one step further, they also make breed-specific foods too. That means that somebody has researched what Rottweilers really want to see in their bowl in the morning.
And it’s not the Postman’s leg…..
The Hungry Ferret
You could be forgiven for thinking that it was the name of a Pub, but the Hungry Ferret is what you will have if you forget to feed it….
James Wellbeloved Ferret Food is just what you are looking for to keep your little furry friend fully fed. Ferrets need to be fed often as they have a very quick metabolism – that’s why they will need to eat every 3 – 4 hours. But they have enough willpower to only eat what they need if you put a large bowl down. Unlike Humans with a large packet of crisps.
This is a great all-round food for them, as it will remain fresh if left in the bowl for days - and that way there will be less waste. Keep the cat food for Tiddles, and give Freddie the Ferret his own lunch. And keep the crisps for yourself.
Burgess Excel Rabbit food
If you have rabbits you may want to try the UK’s number 1 vet-recommended food. Burgess Excel Rabbit Food is designed to provide a high level of fibre, extra vitamins and minerals and is 100% natural. It’s an ever-popular product which lots of rabbit owners keep coming back for time after time.
It’s part of a large range of Burgess Excel products specially made to feed the smaller animals – they have rat, hamster, gerbil, chinchilla and ferret foods too! Have a look round the shop to find them, or maybe send us an email if you need a hand with a particular item. We don’t bite. That’s because we’re not rabbits….and we prefer chocolate Hobnobs.
SupaCat to the Rescue!!
Is it a bird? Is a Plane? No, quite obviously it’s a pack of Burgess SupaCat…
Okay it’s not the same as a muscle-bound man in a blue suit with his pants on the outside, but it’s a particularly good value for money product and is a great all-round food for cats. Maybe not what you need if there is some sort of a natural disaster which only a real Super Hero can resolve, but if you need to feed your cat on good quality food which is a great price and tasty too this is the one for you. We have fed our cat with this food for a while now, and if Lily could talk, she would tell you that she loves it. Trouble is, Lily is a cat and talking is not her strong point. Sleeping and eating, however….
Barking Dog Driving you Mad?
We were asked by my Aunt member if we sold anything that would stop her dog Max from barking, his favorite activity when my Aunt would sit down for dinner. We thought this would be a good opportunity to try out the NO BARK COLLAR to see if it actually worked. She was delighted to be our guinea pig and share her findings with us to try and keep the noise down.
First lets describe how it works… The collar is adjustable to your dogs neck size and on it is a vibrating box. This has a sensitivity control on it so if your dog had a loud bark you would set it to a lower setting than a quieter dog. Basically, when your dog barks, the box vibrates.
Well… did it work? The answer is an astounding YES! Max had the collar on for all of 2 minutes. He barked a few times and got vibrated a few times to which he ran and hid! Obviously he didn’t like it but guess what???…. No more barking. He didn’t need the collar on any longer as he was quiet for the rest of the evening. Next evening at dinner time he started. My Aunt got the collar out and on seeing it Max ran to his crate and hid! Now all that is needed whenever Max forgets himself is a glance at the collar and he is quiet as a mouse!
